At Home With Your Newborn

Life with your baby is filled with new joys, concerns, and challenges. At Baptist Health, we are here to help you meet them head-on. From the moment you leave the hospital, we want to ensure you feel supported in every aspect of your recovery and your baby’s growth. Note: We are proud to be a Safe Sleep Hospital. Ask your nurse about our Halo Sleep Sacks to ensure your baby sleeps safely at home.

Breastfeeding & Nutrition Support

Baptist Health advocates for breastfeeding as the best feeding method for infants, but we know it isn’t always easy. Our staff is here to make sure you receive education and hands-on assistance to give you the confidence to feed your baby at home.

Your Emotional Wellness Journey

Bringing a new life into the world is a miraculous event, but the “fourth trimester”—those first few months after birth—can be a time of intense emotional change. At Baptist Health, we believe that caring for your mind and spirit is just as important as healing your body.

It is common to feel overwhelmed, tearful, or anxious as your hormones shift. However, you do not have to navigate these feelings alone.

Physical Healing & Pelvic Health

Recovering from childbirth—whether vaginal or Cesarean—is a major physical event. It is important to listen to your body and give yourself time to heal.

Pelvic Health: Many women experience changes in pelvic floor function after birth. If you are experiencing pain or discomfort, Baptist Health offers specialized Pelvic Floor Therapy to help you regain strength and confidence.

Warning Signs: While some discomfort is normal, please contact your provider immediately if you experience heavy bleeding, fever, or signs of infection at your incision site.
