Bariatric Surgery Patient Education through Baptist Health Support Group

Baptist Health Bariatric Center – Little Rock offers free monthly in-person support group sessions for people who are preparing for bariatric surgery or who have already had it. Patients may also join online through the link below.

Our surgeons believe that ongoing support after weight loss surgery leads to the best long-term success. The Baptist Health Bariatric Surgery Support Group gives patients a place to talk about personal or work-related challenges that may come with surgery or a history of obesity. Each session includes an educational topic, time for questions, and a chance to share tips and success stories. Sometimes, guest speakers are also featured.

These meetings also help patients connect with others who understand and support their goals. Patients can also join the Baptist Health Bariatric Support Group on Facebook to stay connected with others as they continue their journey toward lasting weight loss. The program is designed to include important aspects of bariatric surgery patient education, making sure each person has the tools they need to succeed.

Our monthly in-person support group meets from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month in the Hickingbotham Outpatient Center at 2500 Kanis Road, Women’s Resource Center Conference Room, 2nd Floor.
