Baptist Health PACE Celebrates 10 Years of Empowering Arkansas Seniors to Live Independently at Home

July 1, 2026

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health on Wednesday, July 1, celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). For a decade, Baptist Health PACE has remained dedicated to providing comprehensive medical and social services that allow older adults to maintain their independence in the comfort of their own communities.

Since its inception, Baptist Health PACE has served as a vital alternative to nursing home care. By coordinating a wide range of health and wellness services, the program ensures that seniors can age with dignity, surrounded by the familiar faces and neighborhoods they love.

"For 10 years, we have seen firsthand how valuable independence is to the seniors in our community," said Sheila Williams, vice president of Baptist Health’s PACE program. "PACE is more than just health care; it is a support system that addresses the physical, social, and emotional needs of our participants, helping them stay in their homes for as long as possible."

Baptist Health PACE offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to provide all-inclusive care, including:

  • An Interdisciplinary Team: A dedicated group of health care professionals who coordinate every aspect of a participant’s care.
  • Medical Care: Direct access to primary and specialist care.
  • Transportation: Reliable transport to and from medical appointments.
  • Daily Activity Assistance: Support with the essential tasks of daily living.
  • Social Engagement: Opportunities for seniors to connect and thrive within a social community.
  • Medication Management: Ensuring participants receive and take their medications safely.

Over the last decade, the program has expanded its reach to serve six key Arkansas counties: Pulaski, Saline, Lonoke, Faulkner, Garland and Hot Spring.
