A message regarding potential network disruption for patients with Aetna insurance.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health Community Outreach is hosting free "Stop The Bleed" training session for community members in Conway and Cotton Plant.
These life-saving events will be held at the following locations:
- Cotton Plant: Saturday, Oct. 10, at 4 p.m. at Cotton Plant City Hall, located at 124 Main St., in Cotton Plant. To sign up, please visit bit.ly/CP-STB.
- Conway: Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 5:30 p.m. at Baptist Health Medical Center, 1555 Exchange Ave., Conway Conference Rooms 1 & 2. To sign up, please visit bit.ly/BHCO-stb.
In traumatic emergency situations, death from severe bleeding can occur within three to five minutes. Because this critical window is so short, victims cannot afford to wait for emergency medical responders to arrive. To empower the local community, Baptist Health's free outreach program will teach residents exactly what it takes to step in and prevent a tragedy.
Led by medical professionals, the training sessions will help participants:
- Recognize life-threatening bleeding.
- Practice hands-on, life-saving skills to control bleeding.
- Gain the confidence to step in and stabilize a victim until emergency crews arrive.
- Attendees who complete the training will also earn an official certificate.
The events are entirely free and open to all members of the community. Residents are encouraged to register today to secure their spot. For more information about Baptist Health Community Outreach, visit Baptist-Health.org or call 1-888-BAPTIST.
