Baptist Health to Acquire Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia

April 16, 2026

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health has reached a definitive agreement to add Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia, Arkansas, to the Baptist Health system with the acquisition subject to customary regulatory approvals. On July 12, 2026, Baptist Health will officially add the hospital, licensed for 25 beds, as Baptist Health Medical Center-Magnolia.

“We are thrilled to have Magnolia Regional join Baptist Health. While it is an extremely challenging time to operate community hospitals, we have a proven track record of operating rural hospitals successfully in Arkansas,” said Troy Wells, president and CEO of Baptist Health. “When we are asked to help communities with their hospital, we consider the needs of that community and determine if our resources and capabilities can make it successful.”

“Our priority has always been the people of this community, and this partnership ensures that the heartbeat of our hospital remains strong for generations to come,” said William Giles, CEO and CFO Magnolia Regional Medical Center. “Aligning with Baptist Health allows us to keep our focus exactly where it belongs – our patients.”

Magnolia Regional Medical Center offers a wide range of services ranging from emergency care to specialized outpatient treatments.

The period from April until acquisition in July will allow the opportunity to minimize disruptions to operations and help with a smooth transition.
