Baptist Health First in Arkansas to Offer Minimally Invasive Therapy For Heart Valve Condition

Cindy Booth, APRN, has joined Baptist Health Women’s Clinic-Fort Smith, where she provides comprehensive care for women of all ages across the River Valley.

Elyce Arons, co-founder and CEO of Frances Valentine, will headline the 36th annual Bolo Bash Reception and Luncheon. This year’s event is presented by Dillard’s and will be supporting Baptist Health’s Behavioral Health Services. 

The Baptist Health Heart to Heart Support Group will meet monthly from 10 to 11 a.m. via Google Meet. Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of each month.

These individuals bring diverse professional expertise and a strong commitment to the community, which will be invaluable to the Foundation's mission.

Baptist Health is proud to recognize Gena Pierce, MS, RD/LD, a registered dietitian at the Baptist Health Nutrition Counseling Center-Fort Smith, for earning her Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential.

As part of this partnership, Baptist Health donated the  home, formerly a rental, to Habitat for Humanity. It is now undergoing a full renovation, or “rehab,” to ensure it meets Habitat’s quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Baptist Health is the first and only health system in Arkansas to participate in the INNOVATE Trial evaluating the safety and effectiveness of the BrioVAD® Left Ventricular Assist System (LVAS).

Baptist Health-Fort Smith is bringing back its stroke support group, offering education, encouragement, and community for stroke survivors, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about stroke recovery and prevention.
