Not sure whether you should visit your primary care provider, an urgent care center, or the ER?

Most of the time, your primary care provider (PCP) is the best first choice. They know your medical history, and a scheduled visit is the most cost-effective. But if you need help right away, our Arkansas urgent care facilities or hospital emergency departments are here for you.

Urgent care is meant for symptoms, pain, or conditions that need fast treatment but are not life-threatening. Always contact your PCP first when possible.

Primary Care Provider (PCP)

Usually, your first choice. PCPs are great for ongoing health, planned care, and non-emergent needs. If you don’t have one, Baptist Health can help you find one. Browse our list of providers.

  • Routine wellness exams, chronic condition management (diabetes, blood pressure), and annual checkups
  • Prescription refills, preventive screenings, and standard vaccinations
  • Mild symptoms or illnesses when you can wait for an appointment
  • All chronic problems that your provider is helping you manage
