EL DORADO, Ark. – Patient care at Baptist Health Medical Center-El Dorado is being elevated through the integration of the Philips MR 5300 into its diagnostic imaging suite.

This investment brings the absolute latest in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology to South Arkansas, transforming the patient experience by prioritizing speed, comfort and safety without compromising on image quality.

The new Philips MR 5300 addresses the most common anxieties patients face when getting an MRI – claustrophobia, discomfort and long scan times – while delivering the crystal-clear imaging physicians rely on for accurate diagnoses.

• Lightning-Fast Scan Times: Powered by Compressed SENSE Technology, the new MRI operates up to 50% faster than older models. Routine scans can now be completed in less than five minutes, and comprehensive whole-body exams take under 20 minutes. This drastically reduces the time patients must spend holding still inside the scanner.
• Enhanced Patient Comfort: The system features Breeze Coil Technology, which utilizes ultra-lightweight coils. By replacing the heavy, restrictive equipment traditionally placed on patients during an exam, the new lighter coils greatly increase physical comfort and help reduce feelings of claustrophobia.
• Safe for Medical Implants: Utilizing Scanwise Technology, the new MRI provides a safe and highly efficient scanning environment for patients with MR conditional implants, such as joint replacements or pacemakers.The technology automatically guides operators to the optimal scan settings for each specific implant, ensuring patient safety and pristine image quality.
