Learn the Latest in Stroke Prevention at Baptist Health’s Monthly Support Group on March 5

FORT SMITH, Ark. –  Baptist Health-Fort Smith is inviting stroke survivors, their families, and the community to the next session of its Stroke Support Group at 11 a.m. March 5 at Marvin Altman Fitness Center, 810 Lexington Ave. This month’s meeting will provide a deep dive into the latest strategies for brain health, lifestyle changes and important updates on medical coverage.

The session features guest speaker Liz Holmes, APRN, a specialist from the Baptist Health-Fort Smith stroke team. Holmes will share expert insights on maintaining an active lifestyle after a stroke and the critical role of smoking cessation, medication management and practical steps for keeping the brain healthy. Holmes will also share an essential briefing on the new Medicare rules regarding carotid care and what they mean for patients.
