Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas Announces New Partnership with Baptist Health

January 12, 2026

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas is proud to announce a partnership with Baptist Health, strengthened by the recent approval of a Baptist Health employee for a future Habitat home. As part of this partnership, Baptist Health donated the  home, formerly a rental, to Habitat for Humanity. It is now undergoing a full renovation, or “rehab,” to ensure it meets Habitat’s quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The revitalized home will provide the homebuyer and her children with a strong foundation for a more stable future.

The approved homebuyer, a single mother of two, has worked at Baptist Health for two and  a half years. Her work schedule allows her to complete Habitat’s required “sweat equity” hours, participating directly in building her future home and contributing to other Habitat events and projects.

Her new home, located only a mile from Baptist Health, will significantly shorten her  commute, making it easier to balance her work, parenting, and community involvement.

"This collaboration with Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas goes beyond a simple donation; it represents a true partnership built on shared values," said Cathy Dickinson,  Baptist Health chief human resources officer. "We are thrilled to see one of our employees  benefit directly from this opportunity for affordable homeownership, while also reinforcing Baptist Health's deep commitment to the broader community."

Construction on the home is underway, with a dedication ceremony upon completion.
