A message regarding potential network disruption for patients with Aetna insurance.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health Community Outreach has announced a strategic partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association Arkansas Chapter to deliver a series of free community education programs titled "10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's.”
These sessions, hosted at various local senior wellness centers, are designed to help patients and their families distinguish between typical age-related changes and the early symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease causes significant changes in memory, thinking, and behavior that are not a part of normal aging.
Through this partnership, Baptist Health aims to empower the community with the knowledge necessary for early detection and proactive health management.
The "10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's" program provides a comprehensive overview of brain health, including:
- The primary differences between normal aging and Alzheimer’s.
- Identification of common warning signs to watch for in yourself and others.
- The critical importance of early detection and the long-term benefits of receiving a formal diagnosis.
- What to expect during the diagnostic process and the necessary next steps.
- Available resources through the Alzheimer's Association.
Programs will be held throughout March and April at the following locations:
- Wednesday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to Noon at West Central Senior Center, 8616 Colonel Glenn Rd., Little Rock
- Friday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to Noon at East Little Rock Senior Center, 2500 E. 6th St., Little Rock
- Tuesday, April 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sherwood Senior Center, 2301 Thornhill Rd., Sherwood
Registration is required for these events. Interested participants can register by calling Baptist Health Community Outreach at (501) 202-1540. Alternatively, individuals may sign up in person at the office of their respective senior center.
