Baptist Health Launches Program to Provide Free Fruits, Vegetables to Community Members

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health Community Outreach, in partnership with the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, is launching the Arkansas Fruit & Vegetable Prescription Program for community members. 

This initiative aims to improve health outcomes by providing free fruits and vegetables every month to residents who have a diet-related health condition such as diabetes or hypertension and meet income requirements. 

Qualifying individuals who sign up for the program will receive $50 of fresh fruits and vegetables each month. Items can be picked up each month on the participant's schedule from climate-controlled food lockers at Baptist Health Community Outreach, 10117 Kanis Road in Little Rock.
