LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – On Thursday, April 30, Baptist Health Pregnancy Clinic-Southwest Little Rock held a celebratory open house for its official opening.
James Studdard, MD, and Monica Ramos, PA-C, will care for patients at the clinic which offers prenatal and postpartum care. Moms will also be connected with the maternal infant home visiting program, community health, and comprehensive bilingual resources.
Dr. Studdard, a Pine Bluff native, brings over 50 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ouachita Baptist University and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Furthermore, he completed his residency training at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Ramos is a bilingual certified physician assistant, fluent in both English and Spanish. She holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Health Professions Physician Assistant Program. Ramos additionally completed her undergraduate studies at Hendrix College.
Baptist Health Pregnancy Clinic-Southwest Little Rock is opening its doors to help moms and babies thrive in their community. Maternal and infant morbidity and mortality rates are on the rise. This clinic will help address the gap in care for pregnant women who have issues accessing care regardless of insurance coverage, by building a supportive network so every mom can have a healthier pregnancy and give their baby a healthier start.
Baptist Health Pregnancy Clinic-Southwest Little Rock, at 11321 I-30 Frontage Road, Suite 100, Little Rock, AR 72103 is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with variable extended hours.
