LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health invites health care professionals to participate in the Baptist Health Perinatal Neonatal Symposium on Thursday, Oct. 15, in Little Rock. This year’s theme is “First Moments, Lifelong Impacts.”
The symposium, which will be at the Chenal Country Club, 10 Chenal Club Blvd. is designed for dedicated medical professionals, including RNs, MDs and RTs – particularly those on women’s and children’s staff, who are committed to advancing maternal and neonatal care.
This symposium will provide a comprehensive discussion about maternal and neonatal health care in the state of Arkansas, starting with morning keynote speaker Dr. Kay Chandler. Dr. Chandler, OB-GYN, is serving as Arkansas Surgeon General as appointed by Gov. Sarah Sanders in February 2023. Participants will gain valuable insights from medical and community updates, including social and chaplain support, and neonatal interventions with a focus on long-term outcomes.
The afternoon keynote speaker is Baptist Health neonatologist Dr. Ashton Walters. She will conclude our session by returning the focus to the beginning, the neonate.
Early registration is encouraged as seats are limited and may fill up quickly.
For non-Baptist Health employees, early registration through July 31 is $45, while registration from Aug. 1 through Sept. 24 is $55. Baptist Health employees pay $35 for early registration through July 31, and $45 for registration from Aug. 1 through Sept. 24.
